This remarkable artwork is set to grace the long-anticipated, brilliantly crafted game cover. Crafted by Jordan Kerbow, a talent known for contributions to iconic projects like Magic The Gathering and Smite, his involvement in this piece was an exhilarating privilege.
The painting vividly captures the epic clash between all six central characters and the formidable foes you'll confront within the game. The deliberate grouping of these figures within the artwork beautifully mirrors the essence of our game, emphasizing the critical role of teamwork.
To be perfectly honest, seeing this painting brought tears to my eyes. It encapsulates not only the immense effort I've invested over the past ten months but also the extraordinary dedication of my team. Describing our commitment to crafting Oath to Embers as "working overtime" is an understatement. We're immensely passionate about this project, and the sight of this painting has made it undeniably real for all of us.
The Sketches
Seamus, our Lead Writer, and I gathered in a Discord call with Jordan to define the precise look we envisioned for this ambitious project. Our aim was to ensure that every single idea was explored. After an intensive brainstorming session lasting a couple of hours, we eventually crystallized our vision. About a month later, Jordan returned with some truly impressive sketches.
The Chosen Sketch
While all the sketches we came across were excellent, one in particular resonated deeply with our vision. After giving our approval, we engaged in discussions to further refine it. With anticipation, we eagerly awaited Jordan's artistic mastery to bring it to life.
